Of these 350,000 children, almost half are aged between one and four". The Alliance for Safe Children estimates 13,000 children drown every year. That is 35 children per day. The WHO States that 'drowning is preventable.' The success of our programs depends on the transfer of knowledge and skills. The most rudimentary skill of knowing how to float and to rescue without entering the water (throw/reach) can mean the difference between life and death. WSV has so far trained 1870 adults in Vietnam with this skill.
