Graham Gregson

Graham is retired after spending 40 years working in Local Government.  He is the past President, Board Member and Life Member of the Municipal Works Officers Association. From his visits to East Timor, and his unique experience of back packing in Vietnam and staying in local homes, using a small dug-out canoe to travel on rivers, he is well aware of the dangers that the water poses to children living in these countries. He is now involved with WSV involving Veteran’s groups whenever possible and is an avid traveller.​


Jean Kemp:  

Dip P.E. / Post Grad Dip Educational Organization and Administration / Cert IV Training and Assessment / Post Grad Dip Special P.E. / T.S.T.C. Jean has been involved in the aquatic industry for more than 50 years starting as a teenager. Jean presents nationally for AUSTSWIM in all five areas Disability, Infants, Competitive Strokes, Adults and Teacher of Swimming and Water Safety. Jean trains presenters in Disability, Infants, Adults and Teacher of Swimming and Water Safety across Australia.


Charles Kovess: 

Charles is the CEO and Founder of Kovess International, a company that helps people and organisations achieve world-class results through harnessing the power of passion. www.kovess.com. Charles was President of the Lorne Surf Life Saving Club for 5 years, was Assistant Secretary of Victorian Life Saving for 5 years, and has been a leader of a number of organisations that continue to make a difference.


Jan Williams:

Jan has 35 years’ experience as a swimming teacher and is a Victorian Education Department 35 Year Teaching Award recipient.  Jan has taught for 20 years as a Physical Education Specialist including 20 years as coordinator of Victorian Metropolitan School Sports Regions.  Jan was the 2010 Victoria AUSTSWIM Presenter of the Year and each year since has volunteered to lead teacher training programs in Vietnam on behalf of WSV


Robyn Lain: 

Robyn has lived on the Mornington Peninsula for 11 years where she is enjoying an ‘active retirement’. Prior to this, she worked in Administrative positions in the Retirement Industry for 22 years. Robyn assists WSV in an administrative and fundraising role and enjoys the challenges that it presents. Robyn and her late husband Charles, travel extensively in support of Surf Lifesaving and give so much of their time to volunteering. 


Stan Middleton: 

Stan is a Vietnam Veteran and a retired Bank Manager with the ANZ Bank.  He was called up for National Service in July 1966 and served in Vietnam at Vung Tau from August 1967 until May 1968. Stan became involved with Water Safety Vietnam in 2009. His connections with the Vietnam Veteran Community, Vietnamese Community in Australia and the Vietnam Swans AFL Club in Vietnam have proved invaluable to the group.


 Judith Muir OAM: 

Judith has 35 years experience as a swimming teacher and is also the owner operator of a successful marine ecotourism business ‘Polperro Dolphins’. In 2011, Judith was Victorian AUSTSWIM Presenter of the Year and AUSTSWIM National Presenter of the Year. In 2014, Judith was awarded an OAM (Order of Australia) for her services to tourism, environment and water safety.
